Dr. Debra Haselton

Board-Certified Prosthodontist in Richmond, VA

Dr. Debra Haselton is a native Richmonder with an extensive background in advanced restorative and implant dentistry. Her career in dentistry began as a Certified Dental Laboratory Technician (CDT), specializing in crown and bridge restorations and implant prosthodontics. This technical foundation gives her a unique depth of understanding in both the design and long-term function of complex dental restorations.

Advanced Education and Specialty Credentials

Dr. Debra Haselton earned her dental degree from the VCU–MCV School of Dentistry. She completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry and then pursued specialty training in Prosthodontics. She is Board Certified in Prosthodontics by the American Board of Prosthodontics and holds fellowship status in the American College of Prosthodontists and the American College of Dentists, reflecting advanced expertise and high professional standards.

Academic Leadership and National Teaching

Dr. Debra Haselton has served as Associate Professor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and later as Professor and Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at VCU School of Dentistry. In these leadership roles, she trained new dental graduates in comprehensive and advanced patient care. She has also lectured nationally on prosthodontics and dental implant reconstruction.

Clinical Focus and Patient Care

At Richmond Center for Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Debra Haselton sees patients Monday through Thursday. She treats a wide range of dental needs, from routine restorative procedures and cosmetic dentistry to complex implant-supported and full-mouth reconstructive cases. Her approach emphasizes precision, evidence-based planning, and long-term oral health outcomes.

Beyond the Practice

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Debra Haselton enjoys playing classical and jazz piano.
